Dear Husband,
I want you to know I see you. I see your sacrifice and all your hard work. I see you giving everything you have to everyone around you. Every day you choose to be faithful, kind, and loving. I am so grateful for you. What a gift you are.
I remember falling in love with you. I remember worrying about how my hair looked to you or if my laugh was obnoxious. Now, you see my crazy, morning hair, and I cackle hysterically at your bad dad jokes. I don't know how you can love me with messy hair, hoodies, and sweatpants, but somehow you manage. Thank you for picking me up off the floor when I can't pick myself up. Thank you for wiping tears and snot. Thank you for understanding me when I'm irrational and broken. You see the best of me when I can't see a single good thing. I wish I could see myself the same way you see me.
I see the way you sacrifice. Even though no one can cook pizza rolls as good as me, you could handle a Chopped basket without a doubt. You don't consider any house chores "woman's work", but instead, you help freely and willingly. If there's a need to be met, you're on it. When I'm falling apart, you're picking up my pieces and helping with the dishes while you're at it.
I see you with our babies. Watching you love them makes me fall more and more in love with you. I've watched you scrub vomit out of the carpet, change diapers, teach golf swings, and kiss boo boos. You are fair and steady. When I'm at the end of my rope, you're there to hang on tightly. I've watched you teach our kids to pray and show them what it means to love Jesus. I see your silly dances to hear them giggle, and I hear your sweet songs you sing to make them smile. Your love for them is beautiful. You are the greatest dad because you mirror your Heavenly Father.
I see you in the Word. I see you get on your knees and pray for your family. I see you making tough choices and picking God's way instead of what may make sense to the world. I see you choose obedience to God over personal success and increased finances. I see you be patient, steady, and fervent in your pursuit of Jesus. For this, I thank you the most.
Sometimes, I can't imagine why you tolerate me or love me still, but I know there's no doubt we were made for one another. Thank you for loving me when I was unlovable. Thank you for pursuing me like Christ pursues the Church. Thank you for showing me marriage can be one of the most worthwhile, fun, and rewarding choices I could've made in my life. You are my best friend, and I love you.
Sincerely,
Your Loving Wife
